Anger Management and Prevention

Learn how to have power over your anger - don't let it have power over you

The Anger Management and Prevention program has been developed from extensive research. Our Brisbane based psychologists work closely with people that have anger management issues. The course incorporates current findings with an emphasis on prevention through behaviour change. For those who are overwhelmed by their anger, it takes courage to seek help and try to change.


We also offer one-on-one anger counselling for those who would prefer it, at no extra charge.


Upon completion of this course you will:

  • Recognise and understand anger/stress patterns and learn coping responses.

  • Identify “situational anger”.

  • Reduce or eliminate ‘person directed’ aggression.

  • Improve interpersonal relationships by using communication skills and listening techniques.

  • Learn to be more sensitive to the moods of others. Respond in ways that actively promote and improve interactions.

  • Recognise underlying reasons for anger such as anxiety, depression, fear, loss, sadness, guilt, and pain.

  • Use techniques to quickly and effectively reduce and diffuse the anger.
