Anger Management and Prevention
The anger management and prevention programme has been developed as a result of extensive research and incorporates current best practice techniques with the emphasis on prevention through behaviour modification.
Upon completion of this course you will:
• Recognise and understand anger/stress patterns and responses.
• Identify "situational anger" and understand that it can bring on angry responses that can lead to aggressive behaviour.
• Reduce or eliminate “person directed” aggression. Learn how and when to use new coping skills to handle stress and anger.
• Enhance interpersonal relationships by using newly developed communication skills and listening techniques.
• Learn to be sensitive to the moods of others. Use this ability to respond in ways that actively promote and improve interactions.
• Recognising underlying reasons for anger such as anxiety, depression, fear, loss, and guilt.
• Use techniques to quickly and effectively defuse the anger
The workshops are conducted in either a group setting or one-on-one to suit those who do not wish to be a part of a group or for those whose schedules prohibit them from attending group sessions. Course is held for 1.5 hours over a period of three / four weeks.
Anxiety Prevention and Intervention Workshop
Through step-by-step weekly instructions and by committing yourself to practicing the assigned exercises, you will successfully decrease your daily anxiety. You will also learn specific skills, to help you recover from any fears, phobias and panic attacks.
Upon completion of this course you will learn:
• That anxiety is manageable and does not have to control your life.
• How to apply practical and powerful strategies to assist in your own recovery.
• How to identify and transform anxiety triggers.
• How to identify and correct unsupportive thinking, behaviour and reactions.
• How to more effectively deal with relationships, stressful situations and life's changes.
• How to build greater self-confidence, independence and self-esteem.

Depression Workshop

The depression workshops are aimed at those individuals who suffer from mild, moderate or severe depression. The course is designed to offer individuals self-help skills to assist them in recognising their triggers and to reduce and manage their symptoms.
Upon completion of this course you will learn:
• Greater confidence in lifting depression.
• A better understanding as to why you wake up tired and unmotivated, and what to do about it
• How to break the cycle of depression and prevent relapse
• A range of useful tips and strategies
• Techniques for rigid thinking and negative expectations, and the pessimistic rumination that causes depression
